About Me

Hi, I’m Joe Kenning. Personal trainer, founder of Pursuit Fitness, and certified fitness fanatic.

My fitness journey started as a child on the tennis court, where I trained at academy level, competing nationally and even travelling to Majorca to compete in a Tennis Europe event.

In my early teens, I started downhill mountain biking. This is where I really started spending time in the gym. I competed at a national level, travelling all across the UK racing the British Downhill Series. It's a sport I still participate in today!

Currently, I am trying to be the best, fittest version of myself I can be. Having recently been selected for British Bobsleigh and Skeleton trials, it’s safe to say I’m doing a good job.

What began as a personal interest developed into a passion for helping others build confidence, build strength and to reach their full potential through fitness and holistic strategies.

I work with people from all walks of life, from complete beginners to those with more experience, all with one common goal: to feel better, move better, and build something sustainable.

My coaching approach is built around one core principle: better decisions come from better information. Pursuit Fitness is more than just personal training

Rather than relying on guesswork or trends, I take a data-driven approach to training. This involves, testing, retesting and tracking key metrics to ensure your progressing towards your goals.

Not only this, my coaching approach involves more than just numbers in a gym.

I take a wider, holistic view with coaching that considers:

  • Lifestyle factors such as stress, sleep, and work demands

  • Nutrition habits and daily routine

  • Mental well-being and motivation

  • Long-term sustainability

Every programme is tailored to the individual, built around where you are now, where you want to go, in the best way for you. No extreme approaches, no unnecessary complexity, just structured coaching, clear direction, and consistent progress.
